Dartmoor Handyman repairs and improves homes and gardens for customers living in the National Park area. Carl established his business to provide quality, responsible and nature positive services, inspired by many years of international work in the natural environment. Carl holds qualifications in wood and metal working and horticulture (RHS) and brings experience renovating his own period properties and their gardens. Carl completed a Kitchen Fitting Masterclass at South Devon College. Dartmoor Handyman is based in the National Park at Buckfastleigh.
We understand that rural properties on Dartmoor have to cope with extremes of weather and may have historic features. We are able to help with home repairs, using sympathetic materials and high quality finishes. Where helpful, we will draw on the Dartmoor National Park Design Guide to suggest appropriate options. Water based, low solvent and natural materials are used whenever possible.
Increasingly, gardeners want to provide more space for wildlife and work hand-in-hand with nature. We can advise on relevant species and methods of management (e.g. native trees and shrubs, pollinator friendly annuals, natural amendments and controls, micro-climate adaptations).
What is the real difference when you engage our help?
We only use electric tools (from Bosch and Husqvarna) to give a much quieter and pleasant experience for clients while we work in your home and garden.
